Amalia Gonzalez
Senior Associate
Amalia is a Senior Associate at Wallen Kelley. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida International University (“FIU”) College of Law and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2012. While in law school, she was a student member of the Cuban American Bar Association and the Hispanic National Bar Association. Amalia was also selected as a Fellow for the 2011 Summer Institute at the James Madison Fellowship Program in Washington, D.C., where she studied constitutional law at Georgetown University.
Prior to law school, Amalia earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with a minor in International Relations, from FIU, graduating cum laude in 2009. During her undergraduate studies, she was a Florida Bright Futures Merit Scholar, a member of the Honors College, and consistently named to the Dean’s List.
Before joining Wallen Kelley, Amalia focused her practice on civil litigation, representing insurance carriers throughout Florida. She has represented carriers both in-house and in private practice and has handled matters from pre-suit through all phases of litigation, including trial. Amalia values a collaborative approach and works closely with her clients to resolve cases efficiently and effectively.
Outside of her practice, Amalia is passionate about fundraising for cancer research and enjoys traveling with her family.
